Jenson Button has made it. He is the new world champion of Formula One. The most prestigious award in the world of motorsport. The 2009 F1 season is not complete yet but he has already secure enough point for him to seal the title for himself.
Jenson Button is not a new name to F1. Compared to his fellow British driver, Lewis Hamilton (2008 F1 champion), he can be considered as a veteran. He started his F1 career back in 2000. Back then, he was not a favourite to win. He was an underdog on the track.
I still remember when he was with BAR Honda team in 2003-2005 seasons. His car always break down. He could hardly finished his race during that seasons. Due to that, during his interview with Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear season 8 episode 8, Jeremy quite frankly made fun of him. But he was very adamant that one day he will be there. And today, he made his point.
Congratulations Button. I adore you. Because my love for motorsport and because of your courage.
